Lyall Sanders is a Métis educator and long‑standing community contributor in Scarborough South West. His professional and volunteer work spans multiple fields, including service as a bus driver, volunteer within the Ontario prison system, lecturer in First Nations communities, yoga instructor and pain‑management practitioner, presenter in Toronto elementary schools and entertainer. He has also assisted individuals facing financial pressures, social justice concerns, and landlord‑tenant challenges.
With decades of experience supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, he has taught newcomers, guided families, and continues to help people establish their lives in Canada.
Lyall is a father of eight and has dedicated much of his life to community well‑being, practical support, and accessible guidance. In 2023, he participated in the Toronto mayoral by‑election, gaining valuable experience in municipal processes and public leadership placing 12th out of 102 candidates.
